DATA AND ANALYTICS SPECIALIST

The Role

As a Data and Analytics Specialist you will be an integral part of the business working within the Specialist team to assist the client team in making data-driven decisions. Using a suite of tools including web analytics, 1st party data and 3rd party data to identify opportunities across a wide range of industries. You will work as part of a team alongside some of the brightest digital talent, to deliver successful digital marketing campaigns to a wide portfolio of clients both nationally and internationally.

Key Skills

Data collection & analysis

  • Design and create impactful tracking methods on accounts through the implementation of analytics tagging, ensuring data accuracy – with a target of a minimum of 90% accuracy to the client’s data.
  • Audit existing tracking setups and make business-centric improvements 
  • Use appropriate data analytics methods to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns or client objectives such as customer acquisition, conversion, brand value, retention, and loyalty.
  • Analyse marketing campaign results and provide actionable insights to optimise campaign performance.
  • Interpret data trends and patterns to drive decision-making in campaign planning and performance optimisation.

Data visualisation

  • Create comprehensive reports and visually appealing dashboards to present campaign performance to clients.
  • Contribute to the strategy meetings for clients to ensure the performance slides provide a narrative into how the client is faring against their objectives and competitors.

Deliver impact 

  • Manage and record time and work outputs accurately to support client and project reporting.
  • Keep updated on industry trends, best practice, and the latest thinking for your specialist areas of expertise and share exciting developments with the wider team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven strategies that align with clients’ business objectives
  • Identify gaps in the service offering of Verkeer and provide solutions for how we can enhance what we deliver for our clients
  • Innovate the way we work and report with new ideas to drive efficiency and keep us at the forefront of the industry.

 Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Excel, Looker Studio, Hotjar/Clarity
  • Understanding of marketing methods such as Search Engine Optimisation, Paid Marketing (Search, Social) Conversion Rate Optimisation
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing services and commercial benefits
  • Commercial knowledge of agency services

 Experience & Skills

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a senior Digital Marketing analyst or similar, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Proven experience using data visualization tools and techniques to present complex data in a simplified and engaging manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a natural ability with numbers and identifying patterns and trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail and focus on accuracy of information.
